Carly Rae Jepsen Gives Life with “Run Away with Me” for “The Sims” Video Game
Alawa tay za voo! (Translation: Run away with me!)
The Grammy's may have snubbed pop songstress Carly Rae Jepsen, but she’s topping the charts in life simulator The Sims 4.
The video game’s second expansion, Get Together, continues the series’ long tradition of re-recording popular pop songs in the game’s fictional language, Simlish.
Jepsen sang “Run Away with Me” with hilariously translated lyrics, joining other skilled performers like Tori Kelly and Zedd on the expansion’s new soundtrack.
So not only does she make the year’s best pop album, but she even sings a leading single in a completely fake language? Give her a nomination already!
The Sims 4 Get Together released Dec. 8 and is available now.
