Cher Rumored To Be Joining The Cast Of “American Horror Story: Cult”

Will she be this season's Stevie Nicks?

Ryan Murphy has brought plenty of A-listsers to his American Horror Story series like Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett and Lady Gaga. But he might be saving his biggest name for this season of AHS, Cult:

The one, the only, Cher.

Last week the cast of American Horror Story: Cult, posted pictures of them all attending Cher’s Las Vegas show together and this had fans speculating that the “fun surprise project” that she teased on Twitter will be a cameo on the FX series.

It would make sense for the cast to go see her perform if they worked with her on set, and her “surprise project” is set for the first week of September, which is when Cult premieres.

The “Believe” singer then tweeted that her TV project is “with gorge man” which could be fellow cast members like Colton Haynes, Cheyenne Jackson or Billy Eichner.

Internet sleuths have even examined set pictures with chairs for the actors, and one that looks like it says Cher on it:

It also helps that Cher’s son, Chaz Bono, has already been announced as part of the cast for Cult. Maybe he convinced his mom to make a cameo in an upcoming episode?

Since the new season focuses on the aftermath of the 2016 presidential election it would make sense that Cher would be involved since she was a vocal and public supporter of Hillary Clinton, even hitting the road for her in gay destinations around the country like Fire Island, Provincetown and Miami.

Maybe Sarah Paulson’s character is obsessed with Cher like Lily Rabe from American Horror Story: Coven was with Stevie Nicks?

It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for Cher to guest star on a TV series since she’s already providing a voice—and new music—for the animated series, Home: Adventures with Tip And Oh.
