Daniel Radcliffe Wants To Play Bisexual Rocker Iggy Pop: "We've Got Similar Gnarly Bodies"

Daniel Radcliffe's post-Harry Potter thespian career has been distinguished by a series of quirky, at times queer, roles including poet Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings and a boy with a deadly horse fetish on stage in Equus. For his next acting challenge, Radcliffe is eyeing his quirkiest and queerest role yet: bisexual punk rocker and serial shirt-doffer Iggy Pop.

"We've got a similar, gnarly, sort of slightly strange, skinny bodies," Radcliffe told radio host Eric J. Lawrence.

D-Rads also has a penchant for nudity — and is a big punk fan — so he's probably up to emulate Iggy's signature performance style. Meanwhile, Pop's rumored affair with David Bowie inspired the film Velvet Goldmine and we all know Danny's no stranger to gaying it up on screen.

I smell a reunion with Radcliffe's Darlings co-star Dane DeHaan, who bears more than a passing resemblance to a young Bowie. And, even better, they're already comfortable getting "graphic" with each other.
