“Drag Race U.K.” Fans Campaign for Frock Destroyers to Compete in Eurovision

They want their home country to do MUCH BETTA!

Could the next winner of the Eurovision Song Contest be a trio of drag queens? That's what RuPaul's Drag Race U.K. fans are hoping with a new petition calling to have the Frock Destroyers represent the U.K. next year in the world’s biggest music competition.

The queens were split into two girl groups on a recent episode of Drag Race U.K., and one of them, the Frock Destroyers, performed the instant classic "Break Up (Bye Bye)."

The Frock Destroyers—Baga Chipz, Blu Hydrangea, and Divina de Campo—won the challenge, leading them to become the first triple winners in Drag Race herstory. "Break Up (Bye Bye)" is now on track to debut at No. 19 on the U.K.'s official top 20 singles chart.

"The UK has long suffered dreadful entries that are not a true representation of our country, providing dreadful results," writes Wolfgang Ludwig, who launched the Eurovision Change.org campaign. "Because of Brexit the message has been that diversity and equality loses, let’s change that with Frock Destroyers."

The petition calling for the Frock Destroyers to represent the U.K. at Eurovision has exceeded its initial goal of 5,000 signatures. If they do, maybe they'll make the chances of the U.K. winning MUCH BETTA!

Representing the Netherlands, bisexual singer Duncan Laurence won the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

RuPaul's Drag Race U.K. airs Fridays at 8/7c on Logo.
