Grace Jones Perfects The Art Of Topless Hula-Hooping At Brooklyn's Afropunk Festival (NSFW)
Grace Jones, 67 and flaw-free, took the stage (and owned her throne while doing so) as the headliner at this weekend's 11th annual Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn.
Jones, a faithfully enthusiastic #FreeTheNipple activist, performed her catalogue of disco and new wave hits including crowd-favorites "Love Is the Drug" and “Private Life."
“Maybe I should take off my shoes and go totally tribal,” Jones told the awestruck crowd at one point mid-set.
She followed through on her offer, removing her shoes as she made quick changes right and left, which included her signature under-bust corsets, ornate headdresses, skull masks, wild weaves and of course, her Keith Haring-inspired body paint.
The highlight of the night came when a topless, Jones proving there's no slow to her 40+ year roll, hula-hooped her way through the entirety of her 1985 hit "Slave to the Rhythm."
