Jerkwad Launches GoFundMe Page, Claiming To Be "Transfinancial": "I Am A Rich Man Born In A Poor Man's Body"

Michael C. D'Amato thinks he's a real card: Earlier this month, he launched a GoFundMe campaign that mocks transgender people by comparing his current money woes to a gender identity crisis:

"I'm transfinancial," he wrote on his campaign page, launched June 13. "That means I am a rich man born in a poor man's body. Please help me overcome my identity issues."

The 30-year-old New Jersey resident writes he was inspired to create the campaign because, "with all this talk about transgender and transracial issues I think it is time to come clean with my secret."

D'Amato is trying to reach a $5 million goal, and is already $422 of the way there after 11 days. Which is about $421.99 too much, if you ask us.

Sadly, his joke page has encouraged others to join in, with more than 40 comments all playing along with D'Amato's insensitive "joke."

"Opening up publicly about your identity issue is eye opening, and brave," wrote one commenter. "I'm certain many, many others will closely relate. Sorry I cannot donate. I was diagnosed with financial identity disorder a few years back and donating would hinder my progression."

Well done, folks. You should be proud of yourself.
