Meet the Logo30: Lina Bradford

We're lost in her music.

Every day during the month of June, we will be spotlighting our 2019 Logo30. This powerful series profiles ordinary and extraordinary people who show pride in unique and provocative ways. Visit the Logo30 homepage to learn more about the series.

If you visited the Pines on Fire Island anytime between 2005 and 2015, then you probably found yourself getting swept up in the disco magic of DJ Lina Bradford’s legendary spin sessions at Sip N’ Twirl.

Bradford left the island a few seasons ago, but she continues DJing high profile events on both coasts, and even hosts her own digital talk show, In the Dollhouse with Lina.

Bradford and her showgirl sister, Candis Cayne, were part of the Wigstock legacy, and they returned to the stage last year for the drag festival’s revival—which is the subject of an upcoming HBO documentary, Wig.

“Whether I’m speaking to kids or spinning music, getting that joy back from people, that’s a prideful moment,” the music sensation tells Logo.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
