Keiynan Lonsdale Plays a Gay Nightlife Sherpa in Exclusive “Love, Victor” Clip

Bram is back in the "Love, Simon" cinematic universe.

Keiynan Lonsdale was one of the breakout stars from the 2018 film Love, Simon, where he played Bram, a boy who had a crush on Simon (Nick Robinson). The two ended up kissing on top of a Ferris wheel in the movie's climax.

Now, Lonsdale is returning to the Love, Simon universe and reprising his role in Hulu's spinoff series Love, Victor.

In an exclusive new clip from the series, Victor (Michael Cimino) takes a trip to New York City to visit Simon, who's now a student at NYU.

While Simon is M.I.A., Bram takes Victor under his wing, introducing him to his crop of queer roommates. The gang wastes no time inviting the high schooler to Messy Boots, a popular local drag show hosted by Katya, whom Victor eventually shares a stage with.

According to the show's official synopsis, Love, Victor follows Victor, "a new student at Creekwood High School on his own journey of self-discovery, facing challenges at home, adjusting to a new city, and struggling with his sexual orientation. When it all seems too much, he reaches out to Simon to help him navigate the ups and downs of high school."

Hulu

As NewNowNext previously reported, This Is Us showrunners Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker—who wrote the Love, Simon screenplay based on a YA novel by author Becky Albertalli—are showrunners and executive producers of the new series.

Love, Victor is funny, heartfelt and deeply affecting, and we were incredibly taken with the project,” said Craig Erwich, SVP of originals at Hulu. “The show’s contemporary lens and honest storytelling make it a perfect fit for the millions of fans on Hulu who already watch and see themselves in series like Looking for Alaska, Pen15, and Grown-ish.”

All 10 episodes of Love, Victor will drop this Wednesday, June 17 on Hulu. Until then, check out the exclusive clip below.
