Diva fight in aisle one!

There’s nothing like two queens fighting over gold to warm the heart. Elton John was pretty cranky-pants last night when Madonna scored a Best Original Song trophy for “Masterpiece”, the song she created for her movie W.E. You see, Elton wanted to win for “Hello Hello” from Gnomeo & Juliet. Daddy I want the Golden Globe!

Madonna’s bitch alert was on code red though and she told press backstage that she wasn’t worried about Elton’s anger. "He's known to get mad at me, [but] he'll win another award. I don't feel bad."

But it wasn’t just Elton Madonna pissed off with her big win. Elton’s hubby David Furnish was none too pleased with the Queen of Pop. "Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit,” he posted on his Facebook page. “Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in it's narcissism. And her criticism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is." And her accent is like nails on a chalkboard. Okay maybe he didn’t say that last part.

Mariah Carey, we know you really want to join in on this catfight. We’re sorry your husband’s kidney failure (and your lack of Golden Globe-worthy music) prevented you from joining. There’s always next year.
