Meryl Streep Rocks Out In The Trailer For Jonathan Demme's "Ricki And The Flash"

A new movie written by Oscar winner Diablo Cody (Juno), directed by Oscar winner Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) and starring Oscar winner Meryl Streep? It almost doesn't seem real.

Oh, but it is! The trio have teamed up for the new family drama Ricki and the Flash.

Streep plays Ricki, an aging, burned-out musician who, at the request of her ex (Kevin Kline), returns home to support her estranged daughter (real-life daughter Mamie Gumer), whose husband left her for another woman.

Ricki has to mend her relationship with her daughter, as well as those with her two sons—one of whom is played by the studly Sebastian Stan.

We know Meryl can sing. And with her crimped hair, braids and heavy eyeliner, Streep totally captures the vibe of an aging rocker in arrested development. Of course we expect no less.

Demme is a master at exploring familial tension, and Cody's no slouch when it comes to hilarious but complex dialogue, so we're pretty sure Meryl will have to face yet another Oscar nomination next year.

Ugh, so annoying, right, Meryl?!
