Nigel Ratburn is off the market!

On this week's Arthur season premiere, Arthur and the gang learn that their teacher, Mr. Ratburn, is getting married, which they think is "wrong" because "teachers don't get married!"

“When they go home, they sharpen pencils, eat kale and dream up homework assignments. They don’t even sleep! They just go into low-power mode and watch documentaries,” Buster says in the episode titled "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone."

After they realize teachers have personal lives, the gang runs into Mr. Ratburn and an uptight woman named Patty (voiced by Jane Lynch), whom they mistake for Ratburn's bride-to-be. Arthur and his friends then set off to sabotage Ratburn's wedding ceremony, only to discover that he is actually gay and marrying Patrick, who owns the local chocolate shop.

Arthur and his friends are relieved their beloved teacher is not marrying Patty, who is Ratburn's sister, but they're still embarrassed when he breaks out some disco moves on the wedding dance floor. Gay rats love disco, too!

Move over, Babadook! Mr. Ratburn is 2019's new queer icon.
