If you're hankering to try one of Patti LaBelle's famous sweet potato pies, best of luck to you. Demand has reached a full on pandemonium after YouTuber James Wright's emphatic review went viral.

The video, which saw a bedazzled Wright belting out some of Ms. LaBelle's signature tunes in between bites of the now sold out pie, has clocked over 3 million views since it hit the web two weeks ago.

"First of all, I have not felt this way in a long, long time about the power of a great piece of food," LaBelle told NBCBLK. "I mean my pies are so good and they were going over the top before my new friend James posted that video and his video took us over the top again. I mean, this is a blessing."

That blessing included Ms. LaBelle's pie becoming the second-most searched item on Walmart.com next to turkeys. The search results for 'pies' went up by 2,000 percent on the company's website. Scott Markley, a spokesperson for Walmart, told CNBC that Walmart had 2 million pounds of sweet potatoes already set for the next batch.

One might think Ms. LaBelle could offer James a little more than a thank you, seeing as its his viral efforts that truly caused the frenzy. Unfortunately, that's not how she sees things.

“I did it myself," LaBelle told TMZ. "I was selling them before the guy did his wonderful video. Thank you James. He is just a wonderful singer and a wonderful guy. Thank you so much.”
