One Of The "Queer Eye" Guys Just Signed With Wilhelmina Models

He credits "all those moments in my mom's living room pretending to be Naomi Campbell."

What, did you just assume it was avocado-lover Antoni Porowski? Wrong!

Karamo Brown, 37-year-old resident culture expert on Netflix’s new Queer Eye reboot, has signed a modeling contract with prestigious agency Wilhelmina Models.

"I was literally crying before this video," Brown wrote Friday on Instagram. "I have been told so many times that my skin was to dark, nose to big or that I just wasn’t good enough. And I never stopped believing in myself. And today this happened! I guess all those moments in my moms living room pretending to be Naomi Campbell have finally payed off."

Making his TV debut on The Real World: Philadelphia in 2004, Brown became the first openly gay African American male cast member in the MTV reality show's history. He went on to host #OWNShow, a digital series for Oprah Winfrey's network, and MTV's Are You the One: Second Chances. He has also appeared in Steam Room Stories, Where the Bears Are, and The Next 15.

A vocal HIV/AIDS activist, Brown has two sons and lives in Los Angeles with his partner of almost eight years.
