Wanna Get Super Jacked Like "It's Always Sunny" Star Rob McElhenney?

Sounds TOTALLY doable.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Rob McElhenney took to Instagram to share just how awful and completely unattainable his recent fitness journey was.

McElhenney, who developed the FXX series with former co-star Glenn Howerton, plays Mac, a gay man whose coming out journey came to a head in Season 11 of the jarring and darkly funny sitcom. Of course, Mac's sexuality was no secret to any of his friends, despite his obsession with God and Christianity.

During yesterday's Season 13 premiere, Mac debuted yet another new look: his rock-hard abs. (It's a full circle journey for the fictional Paddy's Pub co-owner, who gained and lost weight as the series progressed.)

But getting jacked AF was no easy feat, McElhenney revealed:

Look, it’s not that hard [to get swole.] All you need to do is lift weights six days a week, stop drinking alcohol, don’t eat anything after 7pm, don’t eat any carbs or sugar at all, in fact just don’t eat anything you like, get the personal trainer from Magic Mike... and have a studio pay for the whole thing over a six to seven month span. I don’t know why everyone’s not doing this. It’s a super realistic lifestyle and an appropriate body image to compare oneself to. #Hollywood

Seriously, though. What's your excuse?
