"Ruby Rose is captivating audiences across the world, using her voice to transform conversations about gender and inclusion,” said GLAAD president Sarah Kate Ellis.

"Through her visibility and outspoken advocacy, Ruby is breaking ground and inspiring dialogue that advances acceptance for people of all genders."

Singer Demi Lovato will also be honored at the event, with the organization’s Vanguard award for her work promoting equality and acceptance. Lovato has appeared at NYC and L.A. Pride, and recording PSAs for marriage equality and the It Gets Better campaign.
