Anthony Anderson and Lauren Graham announced the 2016 Emmy nominations this morning at a ceremony in Los Angeles, where history was made.

RuPaul was nominated for his first Emmy award, as Best Reality Series Host for RuPaul's Drag Race. The show itself was also nominated for Best Costumes, its second-ever after being nominated for Best Makeup in 2015.

"I dedicate this nomination to outsiders everywhere," said RuPaul "Brave souls who, against all odds, stick to their dreams and make the world a more colorful place. On behalf of those people—my tribe—I am so grateful."

Ru is up against some stiff competition—including Ryan Seacrest as host of American Idol, Steve Harvey for Little Big Shots, Heidi Klum & Tim Gunn for Project Runway, Tom Begeron for Dancing with the Stars and out actress Jane Lynch as host of Hollywood Game Night.

Other NNN faves up for awards include Sarah Paulson for The People Vs. OJ Simpson an American Horror Story, Tituss Burgess for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Jeffrey Tambor for Transparent.

The 68th Annual Emmys will air Sunday, September 18, at 7pm on ABC.
