"RuPaul's Drag Race" Genius Mathu Andersen Scores Emmy Nomination For Outstanding Makeup
Once again, RuPaul's Drag Race was robbed of an Emmy nomination for Best Reality Competition Series, but we take solace in the fact that one of the show's creative geniuses, Mathu Andersen, snatched a nom for Outstanding Makeup For A Multi-Camera Series Or Special.
Andersen, who calls himself Drag Race's "wig whisperer," is actually a creative producer on the show, as well as Ru's personal stylist. Viewers will recognize him as the blithe spirit who photographs the queens for their iconic first photo session. (And he's got one of the sickest Instagram feeds we've ever seen.)
He's up against stylists from Dancing with the Stars, Key & Peele, So You Think You Can Dance, and SNL's 40th anniversary special. Bitches better beware!
