"RuPaul's Drag Race" Just Made Emmys Herstory

Snatchin' even more trophies!

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

After snatching four trophies at last weekend's Creative Arts Emmys, RuPaul's Drag Race won the grand prize, Outstanding Reality-Competition Series, at tonight's 70th annual Primetime Emmys.

This is a herstory-making win because no reality series has ever won Outstanding Host—which RuPaul has now won three consecutive years in a row—and Outstanding Reality-Competition Series in the same year.

Drag Race was previously nominated for Outstanding Reality-Competition Series but lost out to NBC's The Voice.

Accepting tonight's award was RuPaul, who told the audience he would "like to thank [the Television Academy] on behalf of the 140 drag queens we have released into the wild," before ending his speech, like he does every episode of Drag Race, by saying, "Now let the music play!"

In addition to tonight's victory, the VH1 series also snatched four Emmys at this year's Creative Arts Emmys, including Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming; Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special; and Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program.

Condragulations!
