"SNL" Women Sing About Sexual Harassment In "Welcome To Hell"
"Oh, this been the damn world."
On last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, host Saoirse Ronan joined female cast members Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, Leslie Jones, and Melissa Villaseñor to address the recent spate of sexual harassment scandals in song.
In "Welcome to Hell," styled like a Teenage Dream-era Katy Perry video, the ladies explain that while more and more powerful men are being exposed as "habitual predators," this misogynist behavior is actually nothing new in the centuries-old waking nightmare that is being a woman.
Even Kevin Spacey gets a shout-out. "Now House of Cards is ruined and that really sucks. Well, here’s a list of stuff that’s ruined for us," Ronan sings, listing activities such as parking, walking, and drinking.
