Stephen Colbert Examines War Against Gays, Oranges
Tuesday's episode of The Colbert Report featured a special segment on "The War Against the Gays", focusing specifically on California Governor Jerry Brown's new ban on "reparative therapy" aka those lovely "pray away the gay" folks who are so popular in Minnesota (I'm looking at you, Michelle Bachmann).
Everything was looking great for the Best Coast until Federal Judge William Shubb threw down and said the ban infringed upon the First Amendment Rights of therapists who hate gay people.
The best part of the segment takes place around 1:26, when a plaintiff from a similar case in New Jersey described the revolutionary techniques "reparative therapists" (as*holes) use with their clients.
