Tom Ford To Direct "Nocturnal Animals," His First Film Since The Oscar-Nominated "A Single Man"

Out fashion designer/filmmaker Tom Ford has announced plans to direct Nocturnal Animals, adapted from Austin Wright's 1993 novel Tom and Susan, with George Clooney on board to direct.

The movie will be Ford's first since his 2009 critically acclaimed directorial debut, A Single Man, which starred Colin Firth and Julianne Moore. Firth earned an Oscar nomination for his role, playing a British professor grieving the death of his longtime partner.

Animals tells the story of a woman, Susan, whose ex-husband sends her a manuscript of a book he wrote, and seeks her opinion—despite the fact that she left him 20 years ago.

The story covers both Susan's relationship with her ex and the actual content of his manuscript, about a family vacation that turns violent.

Hmm... could we see Firth and Moore back together on the big screen?
