Troye Sivan's New Music Video Is Fire—Literally

Should we be dancing or crying? 'Cause we're doing both.

Troye Sivan is on fire, and we don't just mean that figuratively.

In a self-directed new music video for his latest single, "Easy," the out artist puts visuals to his synth-y breakup song. The video sees Sivan wander forlornly through an empty house, serenade us in a clown-y, '80s glam rock-inspired beat, and—you guessed it—set himself on fire.

How's that for commitment to the bit?

"Easy" and "Take Yourself Home," Sivan's most recent releases, are two of the six tracks off of IN A DREAM, his forthcoming conceptual EP. As NewNowNext previously reported, the Aussie-born actor and singer-songwriter announced in late March that he was "going rogue" and releasing new music without sign-off from his record label.

In a media statement, the "Bloom" singer described his new EP as "a story that's still unfolding."

"This small collection of songs explores an emotional rollercoaster period in my life when the feelings and thoughts were most shockingly fresh," he added. "Revisiting these songs and moments is tough, but I’m proud of this music and excited to have it out in the world."

IN A DREAM drops August 21. Until then, watch the music video for "Easy" below, but don't stand too close. This one's 🔥.
