Watch Trixie Mattel and Katya Make the Gay “Heartstrings” Episode Even Gayer

"What'd you get some drag queen to mouth along to Dolly Parton songs?"

Honey, grab a tub of popcorn.

Trixie Mattel and Katya have been inviting us to their viewing parties with their new digital series, I Like to Watch, where the RuPaul’s Drag Race duo poke fun at original Netflix titles.

Since I Like to Watch involves Trixie, a country music queen, it was only a matter of time before they watched an episode of Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings, and their audio commentary does not disappoint.

Netflix/YouTube

Of course, the UNHhhh co-stars watch “Two Doors Down,” also known as “the gay episode”—the same one that sparked a walkout at Dollywood when it was screened at the theme park back in November.

Trixie and Katya’s videos are always a good time, but the magical combination of Drag Race legends, Dolly Parton, and a gay rom-com makes this I Like to Watch episode a true treat.

Watch below as Trixie recalls her homophobic social studies teacher, makes jokes about hotel hallways “smelling like gay sex,” and gags with Katya about the idea of Parton being a wedding performer. It’s the opposite of “Netflix and chill.”

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
