Why Is It Jennifer Lawrence Vs Kristen Stewart?

The Hunger Games are upon us, and while the film is drawing largely positive reviews and the box office receipts look to be very favorable for Lionsgate, it seems all anyone wants to do is pit Twilight star Kristen Stewart against Games star Jennifer Lawrence. In the same way they are pitting Robert Pattinsonn and Taylor Lautner against Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. Oh, wait.

Lawrence is a remarkable actor, as seen in her Oscar nominated work in Winter's Bone and films like The Burning Plan and Like Crazy. Stewart is also an incredibly accomplished actor, having been able to hold the screen with Jodie Foster at the age of 9 in Panic Room and then gone on to such films as Into the Wild and Welcome to the Rileys. In fact, both being 21, these two girls have had careers most actors could only dream of. But that seems to be beside the point for most. It is not about their work, and it is certainly not about their performances, it is about how they measure up against one another.

The great thing about all of this is that Lawrence emailed Stewart as soon as she read a fabricated story about their supposed "feud." The public can think what they would like but these two girls, again barely adults, seem to have a firm grip on reality.

So get ready for the Saoirsie Ronan verses Lawrence comparisons once Ronan's film The Host hits theaters next March. Another francshie with a strong female character that lets little girls know; it's not about how strong and capable a woman is, it's about how they stack up against "similar" women.

And more importantly, thanks so much US Weekly (and we will not link), it is really about which girl is the "hottest."
