The "Will & Grace" Revival Now Has A Premiere Date

Mark those calendars!

Start planning your viewing party because the new season of Will & Grace has a premiere date. The sitcom's revival will debut during NBC's Thursday night comedy block at 9/8c on Sept. 28.

The highly-anticipated ninth season will be sandwiched between other sitcoms, The Good Place and Great News, as part of the Peacock network's new Must See TV lineup.

This is only the latest bit of Will & Grace news. Last month NBC debuted a trailer for the revival featuring the cast in a musical number, and series co-creator Max Mutchnick recently tweeted out a photo of a script from an upcoming episode entitled "The Wedding."

The new batch of episodes will reunite the original cast along with creators Mutchnick and David Kohan, who will serve as showrunners. James Burrows, who helmed every episode of the original run, will return to direct. NBC had originally ordered a 10-episode ninth season but added two additional episodes—for an hourlong Christmas episode—and the network hopes to up the number even more.

So what will you be serving at your viewing party? A Karen-themed cocktail? How about some of Grace's many, many favorite foods? And of course, the night will have to end with party games like any gathering at Will and Grace's apartment.

If you need more Will & Grace before Sept 28 then tune into this year’s Logo Trailblazer Honors where Mutchnick and Kohan will be honored by the series cast for creating a show that brought a new level of visibility to the LGBT community.

Logo Trailblazer Honors airs Friday, June 23 at 9/8c on Logo.
