Yaya DaCosta Strikes A Pose As Whitney Houston For Lifetime Biopic

Yaya DaCosta is ready to dance with somebody, somebody who loves her. The former America's Next Top Model contestant channeled Whitney Houston in a quick photo shoot to promote the Lifetime movie about the late, great diva.

DaCosta recreated the cover of Houston's iconic 1987 abum cover, Whitney, which spawned more hits than a scorned mafioso, including, "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)." Of the shoot, Yaya mused to Entertainment Weekly“I just looked at the picture and did the pose!”

DaCosta — last seen getting shaded by Oprah in Lee Daniels's The Butler — will play Houston under the direction of national treasure, Angela Bassett, who promises the film will do right by Whit.

“We’re not interested in dragging her life again through, you know, the muck,” Bassett said previously. “She had to play out her choices, and the consequences of them, in a very hot, glaring spotlight, but we’re not interested in dragging that through again.”
