We all know Simon Cowell and The X-Factor went on a firing spree and discarded Paul Abdul, Nicole Scher-whatever-her-name-is-it-no-longer-matters and host Steve "not Ryan Seacrest" Jones. But we have a little, itty, bit of advice for our V-neck-loving critic: choose your next steps wisely.

With The Voice bringing in huge ratings after the Super Bowl and American Idol continuing to draw big numbers, the pressure is on for The X-Factor. We think it's time to introduce a new, younger host in to the mix and Adam Lambert would be perfect.

Think about it. The singer has already himself taken part in a singing competition watched around the world, and is still quite the fan favorite for many. He would know how to relate to the contestants and would also have a good grasp on what interesting questions to ask. Adam knows how to command an audience, perform on stage and he can charm people over when he's not starting bar fights against his boyfriend.

When Adam was on Idol he always looked at ease on the stage, chit-chatting with Ryan. It'd be nice to see him heading back to a singing competition and this time, taking control.
