It's a little bit funny how well Taron Egerton channels Elton John.

Paramount has released new images from the upcoming film Rocketman that feature star Egerton (Kingsman, Sing, Robin Hood) recreating some of the five-time Grammy winner's most iconic fashion moments.

One photo shows the 29-year-old actor as John during the legendary singer-songwriter's 1975 performance at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, where he wore a bedazzled Dodgers uniform. Another shows him rocking feathery epaulettes.

Directed by Dexter Fletcher, Rocketman is described by as "an epic musical fantasy about the uncensored human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years."

We got our first official look at Egerton as John in September, followed by a teaser trailer that John, 71, shared on social media: "Can't wait for you all to see Taron Egerton bring my story to life."

“There are moments in a rock star’s life that define who he is,” a voice narrates the teaser. “Where there was darkness there is now you, and it’s going to be a wild ride.”

Egerton did his own singing for the film, which also stars Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Rocketman is in theaters May 31.
