Volvo is advertising the roll-out of its redesigned XC60 compact SUV with a sumptuous spot featuring a same-sex couple.

Interspersed throughout shots of rolling green meadows, curved roads and sleek city streets are close-ups of everyday people, one of which happens to be a man taking in a quiet moment with his boyfriend.

Last week, Ford Australia unveiled an LGBT-inclusive ad of its own, employing the fierceness of a local drag queen to help sell its Ford Focus RS hatchback.

And this past September, Nissan released an ad in Israel that featured a same-sex family talking about the versatility of the brand's Sentra.
