IN OTHER NEWS

People have been buzzing about this tweet from Vincent Irizarry since yesterday. The soap stalwart (now on Days Of Our Lives) posted a pic of himself with former Guiding Light co-star Judi Evans, and in the background is a figure who looks remarkably like Freddie Smith.

Vincent was quick to dismiss it, claiming it's actually just a lookalike stagehand, but DOOL (and Freddie) fans are having a field day.

I'm ... not sure. It does look like Freddie, but I can't be certain. Maybe if he wore an uglier shirt and stood behind the counter. What do you think? Is it Freddie, or his evil doppelganger? Or could it be the spectral image of Sonny Kiriakis, ala the Three Men And A Baby ghost boy?

Big news for TV superheroes. Grant Gustin will guest star as The Flash on an upcoming episode of Supergirl. Ever since Supergirl was announced, fans were wondering if the two DC icons would crossover, but I'm shocked they were actually able to make it work. Can't wait! What a Gleeful event (Get it? Get it?) Never mind.

And here's The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we're going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We'll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay and bisexual celebs who deserve more recognition.

In 2010 Colman scored massive critical acclaim with his autobiographical one-man Off-Broadway play A Boy And His Soul. He won a GLAAD Award for Outstanding New York Theater and a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show. He was also nominated for a Drama Desk Award and a Drama League Award.

Three years ago I presented my personal favorite Briefs list, The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's, and because if there's one thing Hollywood has taught us, it's that sequels and reboots and remakes are ALWAYS better then the original, we're going to the well again with The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's Part 2: The Even More Forgotten

We'll be spotlighting 100 more of the greatest minor hits of the decade, the songs you don’t hear on any 80’s nostalgia show. Songs that missed the top ten, or top twenty … or top forty. Hopefully these forgotten gems may ring a long dormant bell, or for younger readers, provide a pop music history lesson.

At #14 is "Wind Him Up" by Saga

Earlier we saw Canadian band Saga's only top 40 entry "On The Loose," but their followup "Wind Him Up" should have done much, much better than it did, only reaching #64 in May 1983. Lead singer Michael Sadler (above) is still looking mighty fine in his 60's.
